In preparation for the construction of a wind farm off Cape Cod, Mass., in March 2012, WHOI scientists began recording the underwater soundscape. This is part of a larger project to measure the windfarm’s sonic impact by comparing recordings before, during, and after windfarm construction–the first experiment of its kind!
